接続詞①（and、but、because）
文と文、または語句と語句をつなぐのが接続詞です。その基本についてです。
1「and」（そして）
「and」は、「～と」や「そして」という意味です。
２つの文または語句を結びます。
I bought a magazine and I read it.
（私は雑誌を買って読みました。）
She studied hard and passed an exam.
（彼女は熱心に勉強して試験に合格した。）
I went home and he went shopping.
（私は家に帰り、彼は買い物に行きました。）

2「but」（けれども）
「but」は、「しかし」や「だけれども」という意味です。
He was poor but he was happy.（彼は貧しかったけれども幸せだった。）
She wanted to pass the entrance exam but she didn't study for it.
（彼女は入学試験に合格したかったけれども、そのための勉強をしなかった。）

3「because」（なぜならば）
「because」は、「なぜならば」や「～なので」というように、原因や理由を表します。
I didn't go to the party, because I was tired.
（私は疲れていたので、パーティーには行きませんでした。）

（教室がとても暑かったので、私は窓を開けました。）
