5.2.6. Summary of the progressive form

The progressive form has durative, temporary, and incompletive as the meanings. We can see that the three derive form the one meaning which paying attention to the act. And on the basis of the inherent meaning, we can also understand the present perfect progressive form easily which is explained in the next section. Moreover, we understand the differences between it and the present progressive form.
